• SC0020 - Senior Geotechnical Engineer/Analyst, Oakland, CA: We are currently accepting applications for a senior geotechnical engineer with a minor in structural engineering for employment in our Oakland office. The candidate should be knowledgeable in geotechnical, foundation and earthquake engineering including geotechnical and structural material properties, interpretation of geotechnical data, shallow and deep foundation analyses, slope stability and ground deformation analyses, liquefaction and lateral spreading, nonlinear soil properties and foundation stiffness, lateral pile analyses using P-Y input. The candidate is expected to perform numerical modeling and analyses of soil structure systems using computer programs such as FLAC and PLAXIS. Candidate should be knowledgeable in performing site response and earthquake time history analyses of soil-structure systems. Good communication and written skills are a plus. Control Systems Engineering

• SC0024 - Control Systems Engineers, Sunnyvale, CA: We are currently accepting applications for control systems engineers for our Sunnyvale office. The candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers who will participate in modeling, simulation, analysis, and design of advanced control systems for modern vehicles. Experience with and working knowledge of computer-aided design software MATLAB (SIMULINK) is required. Knowledge of C, C++ is a plus. • SC0025 - Software Engineer, Sunnyvale, CA: We are currently seeking a software developer proficient in C/C++, preferable with Windows development experience (MFC, C#, etc). Software development experience for Linux and for real-time environments are pluses. The candidate will contribute to multiple projects that primarily involve:
  • software product development,
  • software tool development for in-house use,
  • writing code for one-time use in consulting projects,
  • understanding and implementing numerical algorithms.
  In addition to significant hands-on experience in software development, the candidate must possess an MS or Ph.D. degree in Engineering or Engineering Science, with specialization in one or more of the following areas:
  • Computational thermal sciences and transport processes with strong background in mathematics (partial differential equations, linear algebra, numerical methods) and physics, or
  • Physics background with significant mathematics skills and capability to analyze the so-called multi-physics problems, and propose and implement solution approaches.
