SC Solutions has been providing innovative engineering solutions to its clients for over 30 years. The company was founded in Palo Alto, California in 1987 under the name SuperComputer Solutions.
Two years later, in 1989, the company incorporated under the name SC Solutions, Inc. and provided advanced structural modeling services using high-performance supercomputers.
A few years later in 1996, SC Solutions expanded into advanced process control technology.
In 2019, SC Solutions added a Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering division that expands SC’s expertise in innovative applications for engineering problems to focus on applications for the mechanical and aerospace industries.
The company headquarters are in Sunnyvale, California, with additional offices in the United States.
Structural Engineering Division
For over 25 years, the Structural Engineering Division has specialized in high-end numerical analysis and conceptual design of complex structural systems. From roots supporting engineering analysis for the energy and aerospace industries, SC Solutions expanded in 1989 to provide support for seismic and earthquake engineering analysis, construction staging, and design solutions. Over time, SC Solutions has developed a unique structural analysis methodology based on a combination of performance-based design procedures coupled with nonlinear time history analysis and soil structure interaction. We have continued to expand applications for our solutions and, today, we provide engineering solutions for port and marine, oil and gas, water and nuclear industries as well as transportation infrastructure. Systems & Control Division
The Systems & Control Division has extensive experience in control design, modeling of physical systems, software development, optimization, system identification, fault diagnostics, and signal processing. We develop products and provide consulting and R&D solutions for semiconductor and advanced materials manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, aerospace, and defense industries. Examples of applications include modeling and control of thermal processing, various techniques for thin film deposition, wafer planarization, sensor signal processing, and simulation of satellite operation.
Our process control software is used in key stages in the manufacturing of practically every modern microprocessor such as computer CPU’s. Without the use of our optimal control software, the requisite manufacturing tolerances would not be achievable. Some of these controllers have been in use for almost a decade. Over the years, our wide range of cross-disciplinary interests and our expertise with relevant tools have proven to be a great advantage in enhancing our problem-solving efficiency. Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Division
Lead by Mahantesh Hiremath, Ph.D., P.E., FASME, the staff of the SC Solutions Mechanical and Engineering Division bring decades of experience working with spacecraft, structural design and analysis, launch vehicles, loads and coupled loads analysis, payload architecture, antenna engineering, test design and analysis, qualification and testing, ground support equipment, and have provided engineering to a wide varied of projects including space launch vehicles, spacecraft, satellites, aircraft, quadcoptors, and ground support equipment, as well as payload architecture and antenna engineering projects.
